Resumes

A good resume should summarise your key skills and work experience to date. But knowing what information to include and how it should be presented can be tricky. Australian employers have told us that when they’re sifting through resumes and trying to find the right people to call, they are generally frustrated by the lack of appropriate information they are seeing as well the poor presentation of details.

My Job Wizard has conducted an in depth analysis of the needs of some of Australia’s largest companies in the pursuit of developing a document that presents the right information in the right format, to capture the attention of those who read it. Put your best foot forward by supplying us with the most accurate details and in return, we’ll supply you with a polished resume that stands out from the crowd.

Cover Letters

Having a strong resume is one thing, but many of today’s employers also request that you enclose a cover letter with your resume. A good cover letter will capture the attention of an employer and should engage their interests enough for them to want to peruse your resume for more information. Time and time again though, applicants fail to meet these expectations.

A cover letter gives those who read it, a snapshot of who you are and why you’re applying to work at their organisation. This is your one opportunity to introduce yourself and convey your skills as well as demonstrating to them why you’re the right person for the job.  A cover letter supports the in depth details of your resume and is a great tool to inspire the potential employer to asses you further.
